When did I realise I was a reptile? It was last week, as I stared into the mirror, heart-frowning at the papery quality of the skin beneath my brow. I caught a glimpse of something within, just a glimpse as quick as flick of tongue or blink of eye, but there I was, reptilian me. I had suspected my heart was different, I never did believe the specialist’s verdict “Hyper-dynamic!” And now? Well, now I know for sure.
